A Wedding Shower

What fun I had yesterday!  With four other women from my Fellowship Group at church, I had the privilege of honoring a lovely young woman, Lauren, for her wedding shower here in our patio.  Her mom and dad are dear friends of ours, and it was so much fun to plan and have this shower.  I thought you might like to see pictures.

Lauren's wedding colors are black and white, with red.  The hostesses decided to continue with that cololr theme and so we had chocolate cake and coconut cake with fresh raspberries on the side.   We draped the tables in black, and had lovely red roses on the table. We used white plates, and had the silverware tied in black and white napkins with red ribbons. So lovely!

One of the things we love to do is have the women attending the shower write down advice or suggestions for the bride. I had so much fun making this CD folder for everyone to write in!

Diane, a good friend and also a customer, couldn't attend the shower, but made wonderful favors for everyone using the Matchbox die and her Big Shot!  How fun was that?  Very!

Ruth, what a beautiful shower. I love everything you all did to stick with the colors and theme. Absolutely stunning.

I had the pleasure of seeing this photo this morning which made me smile. http://pattystamps.com/pattys_stamping_spot/2009/09/founders-circle-trip-2009-final-dinner.html#comments
